Amaro Moneti

Amaro Moneti is a handcrafted product of the Spiriti Toscani distillery in Cortona that pays tribute to Mattia Moneti, a 17th-century Cortona priest and botanist, author of the work Ars naturam fingens, in which more than 300 wild plants from the Cortona area are depicted.

Inspired by his studies and the plates preserved in the Library of the Etruscan Academy and the City of Cortona, the herbs that make up the officinal part of the bitter composed of one part infused with botanicals characteristic of southern Italian loves and one distilled with botanicals from the Cortona area were selected and collected.

Optimal to be enjoyed neat as a digestive at room temperature or slightly chilled, but also mixed in cocktails to give originality to Negroni, Boulevardier and modern twists.
Perfect paired with dark chocolate or cocoa and dried fruit desserts.

Infused aromatic component: orange peel, licorice, vanilla, chocolate and Mediterranean botanicals.

Distilled component: thistle, white thorn, bay leaf, wild fennel, fir buds and other roots and herbs from the Cortona area.
